These personnel have conducted hundreds of environmental assessments, asbestos surveys, lead base paint surveys, and soils contaminant identification and have coordinated underground storage tank removals and effective site remediation.
CTE’s Geotechnical Engineers and Certified Engineering Geologists work closely with project owners and architects and have performed preliminary and update geotechnical investigations and fault hazard assessments, deep foundation design, site specific seismic response, ground modification, slope stability analyses, and grading control on well over one thousand projects. These have included high-rise and mid-rise office buildings, hotels, condominiums and apartments, casinos, universities, and various K-12 school projects, churches, shopping malls, residential developments, industrial parks, and earth and rock fill dams as well as countless US Navy, US Army Corps, Federal Highway, State, City, Municipal, and Utility projects. CTE takes an innovative approach to the seismic design of a project to provide the owner with the best alternatives possible for the existing geotechnical conditions at the site. CTE has, in fact, conducted the majority of the fault hazard assessments in the downtown San Diego area in the last four years.
CTE’s diversified capabilities with their expertise in the preparation of boundary and topographic surveys (including ALTA surveys), tentative parcel maps, grading, utility, street improvement, and erosion control plans, final maps, construction staking and as-built plans, hydrology studies and storm water pollution prevention plans. CTE’s construction material testing and special structural inspection capabilities include all field inspection and material testing required to be performed on most construction projects. CTE can perform all California and Uniform Building Code, Federal, State, and local municipality requirements for construction inspection and constriction materials quality testing. CTE employs a large staff of ICBO-certified and City-certified inspectors for concrete, post-tension concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing, building inspection, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical inspection.
